RAH'S OWN PRIORITY BOOKING: The Royal Albert Hall is going to offer people an opportunity to buy priority tickets for Mark's 2010 shows. The priority booking service will start at 9 am UK time on the 1st of July. The RAH will be putting tickets on general sale on the 3rd of July. Tickets range in price from £30 to £50 each plus an administration fee of £3.50 per booking. You have to ring the RAH box office - 0845 401 5015 or if you are ringing from outside the UK dial 0044 207 589 8212 - you will need a credit/debit card to purchase tickets from the RAH. Note that the priority booking service will not be available online. (29/06/09)
2010 GET LUCKY TOUR: As part of the 2010 Get Lucky Tour, Mark will be performing at Royal Albert Hall in London from the 30th of May until the 4th of June. In an effort to beat ticket scalpers, a special fans' 'best seats ticket presale' has been arranged for all six RAH shows. This special presale starts at 12 noon BST on June 26th, 2009. Only fans who have an account at mk.com will be able to buy tickets. Be sure to sign into your account just before the start of the sale, as tickets will be assigned on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please note that the maximum tickets per order for this presale has been increased to four (4). The cost of tickets is £45 plus £5 fees, a total of £50 per ticket. Tickets will need to be collected in person on the night of the show and you will be required to provide proof of ID.
The remaining dates for the 2010 tour will be 'rolled out' starting in September. The tour is likely to commence in the USA in late-April 2010 and end in Europe at the end of July. (updated: 25/06/09)
GET LUCKY: Mark has completed work on his next solo album, Get Lucky. The album is scheduled to be released worldwide on or around the 14th of September 2009.

GUITAR WINNER: The winning bidder of the recent AMREF signed Fender MK Signature Strat auction was Marc Dousset. A few days ago Marc and his wife, Jennifer, made it to Mark's British Grove studio to collect his prize. Marc has written a webpage so he can share his experience. (28/01/09)
DS LIVE IN GERMANY: Statements on various internet sales sites and elswhere claiming that an official double live Dire Straits CD and DVD called, Sultans of Swing Live in Germany, have been released are false. AN MK STRAT SIGNED JUST FOR YOU: Mark donated a brand new Fender Mark Knopfler Signature Stratocaster to AMREF, Africa's leading health organisation, with over 50 years experience of saving and transforming lives in urban slums and remote rural communities across Africa. The guitar was auctioned on Ebay and sold for a winning bid of £1701. (09/12/08)
MFN ON MTV: MTV has returned to its musical roots by launching a new website, MTVMusic.com. The site hosts music videos dating back to the early days of the network. Dire Straits' Money for Nothing was the site’s most viewed video during its first few days online, out-pacing numerous other classic videos. (29/10/08)
JOHN ILLSLEY: John Illsley and Greg Pearle released their new album, Beautiful You, on the 13th of October, 2008. Recorded at Mark’s British Grove studio, the album is the result of two year’s collaboration and features guests such as Guy Fletcher and Paul Brady. The first single to be taken from the album is Secret Garden/One which you can now download for free from John's website www.johnillsley.com
